How do I transfer a title of real estate from a parent to a child?

Obtain a quit claim deed from your attorney. A quit claim deed allows you to give up your interests in a property and transfer the title to someone else. Put the name of your child on the deed as the grantee. Sign the deed, and have it notarized by a notary public. File the deed with your county clerk's office. Follow up one week later to make sure the office processed the deed and transferred the title.
